An exercise for connecting with your core/authentic self: Creating Your Canvas
Sitting quietly with yourself and being aware of your breath begin to imagine the rest of your life as an empty canvas When you are ready using any media you wish such as making a collage, writing, drawing, etc. begin to fill in your canvas with what you want to bring into the rest of your life. You may want to make the center of the canvas reflect what is most important or centered to you. Think of what you want, not what you think you should want or what someone else wants for you. When you are done place your canvas somewhere that you see it each day. Remember this is your canvas and it is flexible and you may change it over time by adding or removing what you originally “painted” on your canvas.
